The tires are super supple but also prone to rotting if in constant uprotected contact with water. Keep them sealed up with some tire latex and you will prolong their usuable life.
Ever seen someone talcing up the inside of a clincher tire like they are changing a diaper? Well if you haven't, people do, and for a reason. The talc keeps the tube from sticking to the tire casing. No sticking equals softer ride, less friction, lower rolling resistance and faster tires. Now who doesn't like faster tires?
