Thats right, this guy rocks steel bikes and only steel bikes.
Go ahead... roll your eyes...quip about how your frame material of choice is better, or how your fully suspended rig is so much radder and smooths out all the bumps (thanks for the newsflash). Seriously, gimme your best shot, I have heard them all...twice.
A Steel Bike Being Born

I can't explain it, there is just some kind of extra joy that I get from riding, owning, fondling, and working on steel bikes that I don't get from other bikes. They just look and feel so right to me. That subtle yet lively elasticity you feel when you stand up and honk on the pedals. Or the "bend like willow, do not break" feel you get when you are yanking the front end around in a technical section just does it for me.
For the record, I think all bikes are great. I'm not so blinded by my love for all things ferrous that I can't appreciate the form and function of other types of bikes. I've even had a few aluminum (gasp!) and full suspension (whaaa?) bikes. In the end I always come back to the steel. True Temper, Reynolds, Columbus, or regular old 4130, it matters not, if it's steel I'm down.
