| | Sean Daley: Mountain Bike
2008 RACING AGE: 25
RESIDENCE: Marshfield, MA
WHERE I GO MONDAY MORNING: University of Massachusetts Boston, (Mostly the Library) Graduating this spring.
RACING DISCIPLINE(S) AND CATEGORY(S): Expert MTB
# OF YEARS RACING: 3 (First year back after 6 year hiatus)
# OF BIKES OWNED: 2 (Merlin Agilis Road Bike & Trek 8500 Mountain Bike)
FAVORITE BIKE: The Merlin is my favorite, it’s smooth.
FAVORITE TRAIL OR RIDE: Mount Snow Nationals MTB Course, by far my favorite ride/race it has the best climbs and roughest descents. It’s a classic.
NON-CYCLING INTERESTS/HOBBIES: History, Movies, the beach, My Fiancé (Kyla) and finding the perfect non-alcoholic beer (as of now its Becks NA).
PERSONAL NOTES & QUOTES: Everyday I get to ride is a good day. Everyday I get to rest is also a good day. If you train hard, you have to rest hard. If I had to offer any advice to a new racer, my advice would be to have fun with it. Don’t worry about advancing too fast if you haven’t done the training. Like Travis Brown once said “Mountain bike racing can be the best thing in the world if you're winning, it can feel like the worst when you're loosing.” Be patient and set realistic goals. We can’t all win the race but your winning if you achieve your goals.
