After the burial of my Suntour XC Pro thumb shifters years ago I tried every type of mountain shifter without a grin.  From Sachs to Shimano and everyting in between.  I broke most stuff, or simply did not like others (twist!!).  My problem was cured with this clean little piece of aluminum.  Bolt on a bar-con & you're off & riding!  My only complaint lies within the shifter & not the Paul's thumbie.  I just wish the lever was a little larger like the old thumb shifters.  NOT going to happen so I'm not worried.  Shifting is clean & perfect every ride.  Even while riding in the mud with mittens.
