Team Race Reports
24 Hours of Adrenaline at Hurkey Creek Park
Hurkey Creek Camp Ground, Idyllwild, CA
April 28 & 29, 2007

The first 24 hour event of the year for California is always at the end of April no matter if we are ready for it or not. It all started out early Saturday morning when Andy and I left my house headed for the camp ground. As always the first event at Hurkey Creek does not get the participation that the one in September gets, but that does not mean that it is not well supported.

All of Team Bikeman West showed up for the event, most of us were on the same team, except for our good buddy Mark. He was testing his skills at the 8 hour event and let me say that he empressed us all on his single speed. For the rest of use on Team Bikeman, the captain (Roger) came up with the game plan of riding consecutive laps instead of one at a time. We had talked about that in the past and I think that it worked out for the best. I always have a hard time waiting in between laps and then trying to get sleep at odd hours. The race went great and everyone had a great time and we appreciate the help of Bikeman.com, Salsa Cycles, and SRAM.
