I have been using this light for about three years. I bought an extra battery pack and use the two alternately. Still hold about 1.5 hr of charge each after moderate use over the years. The beam is a completely even disk of light. No bright spots or distortions here. Could be a little brighter. I use mine as a helmet mount in combination with a handlebar mounted light. Probably not bright enough as a stand alone for technical trail riding.
