Hey guys, it's been a couple weeks since I have given you an update on how things have gone. Last week I had 3 races in 3 days. Saturday was a short track in Fairlee, VT. Only a small group of pros showed up for this event. I took 4th only a couple seconds behind third place. I didn't want to put too much damage on my legs since I had two more days of racing ahead of me. Sunday was the XC event. There were about a dozen pros that showed up to race. After a slow start I started to get into a nice rhythm and make up some lost ground. I finished in 5th place not far back from 3rd place. It was a good work out and a fun day. After the XC race I was able to get a nice cool down ride in and was even able to take an ice bath in a VT stream! (This would be key for tomorrows road race.) On Monday I was over in Kennebunk, ME doing the Cape Able Memorial Day Classic. This is a flat 4-mile loop that we go around many times. It was your classic road circuit race I guess. Everyone was just riding in the pack and a sprint to the finish. I don't get involved in sprints to the finish line because things get sketchy up there and I like to stay away from trouble. My legs felt really good Monday, which was nice to know that my form is starting to come together.

This weekend I had two races, the Auburn road race on Saturday, and the Bradbury XC race on Sunday. Saturday's road race was HOT! I just road at tempo (medium pace) for the race and took 2nd place. I wasn't about to work hard in that kind of heat. Today was HOT again! The XC event was tough, 26miles of some hard bumpy single track. I got dehydrated during the race and lost a bit of time on the leaders that I couldn't make up. Overall I did well for the day. I took 3rd in the Senior I category and had the 3rd fastest time for the day. Just finishing the race was impressive enough. Riders were dropping out left and right due to dehydration today. Overall it was a good weekend.

As of now next weekend looks like it will be a weekend off from racing. Thanks for all the support you have given me. Talk to you soon.
