  Bradley Schalzer: Mountain Bike/Cyclocross
2009 RACING AGE: 30
RESIDENCE: Pittsburgh, PA
WHERE I GO MONDAY MORNING: University of Pittsburgh School of Law and/or City of Pittsburgh Law Department.
RACING DISCIPLINE(S) AND CATEGORY(S): Cat 1 XC/ Cat 3 CX; Professional Commuter.
# OF YEARS RACING: 4
# OF BIKES OWNED: Never, ever enough. Kona Kula Supreme is still hanging in there after a year of hard abuse; Specialized Tricross for everything else!
FAVORITE BIKE: The Kona.
FAVORITE TRAIL OR RIDE: All the parks around da'Burgh, with a special place in my heart for Hartwood Acres & Frick Park. Kanawha State Park in West Virginia. New to me this year is Rothrock Park in State College, PA – it is truly amazing. Finally, Nine Mile State Park back home in Wausau, Wisconsin also brings on occasional waves of nostalgia.
NON-CYCLING INTERESTS/HOBBIES: My lovely fiancé Kristin, hanging out with my Staffordshire Terrier, Ilsa, eating, camping, beer snobbery, Tom Waits and Werner Herzog.
PERSONAL NOTES & QUOTES: Coming up in 2009: a 12 hour solo (or two), a few 100 milers (Mohican, Wilderness 101, Shenandoah) and the WVMBA XC series. I may toss my hat into the road-racing scene as well.
“Pain is weakness leaving the body.” -Inspirational quote spotted on a t-shirt or coffee mug somewhere PERSONAL BLOG: Twenty-Third Attempt at Blogging
