 | | Park CT-5 Chain Tool | Park CT-5 Chain Tool: The CT-5, also known as the "micro brute", is a pretty sweet little chain tool that lives up to it's nickname. It shares many of the same attributes that make it's big brother, the CT-3 , so popular. First and foremost is the little shelf for loosening tight links. I can't stress enough how key this feature is. Sure, you can just bend the chain back and forth until it is loose enough, but that doesn't always work. Using that little shelf always works.
The CT-5 is also compatiable with the same replacement pins used for the CT-3 which is nice. The pins come in a 2 pack for $6.95, so if you have both (as I do) you will be all set for awhile. Just because the CT-5 is small enough to take with you on the trail doesn't mean that it isn't up to the task if you need a shop quality tool for the ole' toolbox and want to save a couple bucks.
