NMBS Fontana Nationals Fontana, CA March 28-31, 2008
 | | click to enlarge | The west coast is still on the move. This was a four day national meet held in Fontana California at Southridge Park. The Fontana race is the first in a series of seven races crossing the states known as the National Mountain Bike Series. In the past it was termed the NORBA Nationals. Anyhow it was four days of Cross Country, Downhill, Short Track, Slalom and Super D competition.

The weather held out, only a little rain Saturday night and early Sunday morning. "At least it knocked the dust down." Where have I heard that before? | | click to enlarge | By my start time the dust was back, the ruts were back, the climb to the water tower was back, the sand was deeper and the rock garden went on forever. What could I add without using expletives? I could have done a product report for elbow pads by the time I crossed the finish line. I was told that I looked d-u-n. Threw in some pics again, check out the guy with the hot links on the BBQ. I also found the coldest one in my cooler to "knock the dust down."
