 Moab-Fruita 2008
 | | click to enlarge | L.A. to Moab, 13 hours driving time, 1 buffet lunch, 4 gas stops, several pit stops, no flats and no problems. Life is a beach, opps, sorry, a bike ride. Lost Coast on the move again. Short but sweet trip to Moab, Utah and Fruita, Colorado.
Team member Roger Jorgensen, my brother, also a Roger from Denver and myself spent 3 days riding and taking part in all you can eat pizza. Couldn't get past the Moab Brewery for a chilled one either.
Rode single speeds and only brought one bike each. We stayed away from the big hit trails like Slickrock and Amasa Back. Spent some time on the 24 hour course, (hoping to ride it in October), Gemini Bridges, Monitor & Merrimac, Hurrah Pass. One of the best rides runs from the top of Hurrah Pass to Chicken Corner. That ride can also be taken from town but the mileage goes over 30.
Rode Mary's Loop, Horsethief and Prime Cut in Fruita. Managed to spend some time at The Edge bike shop. I bought my El Mariachi Le at The Edge 3 years ago and they still recognize me when I walk in. Might be the beard, but ZZ Top it's not. The Flagstaff trip is in 3 weeks, gotta keep the motor runnin'.
