And now for something different. Since Tex did not show with his downhill rig, I wandered over to a spectator friendly area of Eling Park and watched the action. Dual Slalom kind of reminds me of my days on the ski slopes. I could hear the heavy metal start gate drop and was amazed at the effects of gravity and banked turns.
The youngsters seemed to be having a grand time of it. The young turks were a sight. Body english and no fear seems to sum it up for me. One senior racer apparently had no one to race against other than the clock so the announcer challenged her and stated if you've got another run in ya, just walk your bike up the hill and go again. Kind of makes me want to ride.
