This may be old news, but I've determined that this just might be my ticket to effortless single speed racing. Sure all the big R&D money has been spent by the likes of Harley, Ducati, Gates Belt Corp., Spot Brands and a few others. And now 98% efficient. Can you imagine, even if the system is dirty.
Now compare the 70 grams of the belt drive to your old favorite hollow pin chain at 300 grams. I think it's the thin strands of carbon fiber at the core of the belt that gives zero stretch under load. So when you think you need the next "thing" to make it to the next race or next year, it's no time like now to start dreaming.
