I have been running the same pair of Shimano DX pedals on several bikes now for fourteen years. They wear like iron. They are easy to grease, (pop off the plastic end cap and squish fresh grease in with your thumb until it begins to ooze out the other end and you're done.) The steel cages don't seem to be bendable at all nad they just plain last and last. The only drawback I have found is a difficulty in procuring fresh little rubber seals. Shimano still uses these seals on a few of their pedals, but I've been having a hard time getting any. Does anyone know how to get some? If you do, let me know. I would buy these pedals in a heartbeat because you just cannot find a quality, long lasting flat pedal like these anywhere else. I wish Shimano still made them and they were more widely available.
