Watch your head!
You might run into that 1955 Elgin Bluebird hanging from the rafters. Yes, it's true. The boss never throws anything away. It just magically vanishes from the shop and ends up here. If you've given up hope of finding that low gear pawl for a Hercules three speed, drop Davis an email davis@bikeman.com. If we can't find it for you, well, uh, we can't find it for you.

The Attic - Attic What IZIT
Attic What IZIT#18
Attic What IZIT #18We think this edition will be a bit easier than our last go around but give it some thought. Your initial guess may lead you off course. The winning answer should include the Manufacturer, Model Name and how it the product was used. A true Attic Veteran will construct his or her answer in a very creative manner. As always personal experience garners large amounts of bonus points.

This edition proved tougher than Bikeman originally anticipated, add that to the fact that we have been on an Attic hiatus for quite a while, and the result is we do not have a winner.

Here is what we where looking for:  The product name is the Onza Wedge-It Kit and it was designed to wedge into your handlebars as extensions on which you would mount your barends.  The idea is two fold.  One you are able to maintain your original handlebar width.  Back in the day this was important as you had probably already cut your bars down to the smallest width you could tolerate and there was no room for installing barends.  The other cool feature is that it would allow you to ride barends safely on a very light weight aluminum bar.  Many of the "Old School" aluminum bars where not thick enough or strong enough to take the pressure of a barend clamp.  This kit helped to solve this problem.

The packaging reads "Exact Kit NORBA Pro's Use"....  So why did this product not succeed?
