PERSONAL NOTES & QUOTES: For the last few seasons before 2007, I had focused so much on racing that I lost sight of why I started to ride to begin with. Not being able to race for most of 2007 was probably a good thing. I started to appreciate riding for the simple pleasure of riding again, as opposed to always going out for training rides.
My goal is to do a few road and MTB races in May and June. I’m getting married at the end of June so I’ll be off the bike for the first two weeks in July. My request to bring my bike on the honeymoon was met with a quick and decisive “no”. I’ll probably get back to racing in August and start the transition over to CX in September. If things go right, I’ll be racing at the CX World Cup venue in Providence in early October.
