2007 RACING AGE: 33
RESIDENCE: Portland, ME
WHERE I GO MONDAY MORNING: I go to Windham Middle School 7th grade math and science classroom.
RACING DISCIPLINE(S) AND CATEGORY(S): Expert Mountain Bike, B Men Cyclocross
# OF YEARS RACING: 6
# OF BIKES OWNED: 6 bikes total, 3 keepers - Dean Colonel, Carver 96er, Cannondale towner. 3 new additions this coming year: Salsa Campeon, Mamasita, and Chili con Crosso.
FAVORITE BIKE: Right now the Carver 96er is too much fun!!!!
FAVORITE TRAIL OR RIDE: Best road riding in North Carolina outside Asheville. Best Mountain Biking on Missouri National Forests Barryman Trail. Locally the SoPo Loop is hard to beat.
NON-CYCLING INTERESTS/HOBBIES: II am a birder, like checking out the spring migrants in Maine... Outdoors are my favorite places to be....I am also very good at things like snowboarding, cribbage, backgammon and cooperation.
PERSONAL NOTES & QUOTES: Bikeman has really become a team that is both fast and friendly. It is really great to have such a fun group of committed, passionate people to hang out with at races, to travel with and enjoy cycling. Nothing like a little "shake and bake" on the start line with Big Al, or other teammates.... Cycling is important to me because it allows me to work on my own personal goals as an athelete. I enjoy building up my cycling abilities throughout the season. I focus more on trying to go faster and faster and less on making everything a huge competition or contest... I am not into cycling jocks who are always comparing themselves to everyone else... Staying healthy, feeling good and achieving a peak performance is my fav.... Looking forward to a pain filled good time on the race course this season!!!
