While finishing up a Dirty 30 ad for Dirt Rag this morning, I looked out the window to see the flashing blues. An under cover Statie was one step closer to making his quota for the month. We are located on a very busy, 4-lane stretch of US Route 1. Just up the hill from us the road merges into a two lane road. Needless to say everyone pins it going by here to take the hole shot.
Last summer the accidents on our 5 mile stretch of Coastal 1 where out of control. It seems like not a week went by with out a major traffic delay, complete with Ambulances and Fire Rescue vehicles. We even had a motorcyclist go down about a hundred yards up the road after being cut off my an anxious driver.
So thanks to the State Trooper who slowed down a few motorists this morning. The busy season is coming here in "Vacationland," hopefully it is an uneventfull one for our local Emergency Crews. |
