 | | click to enlarge | You have seen the Limited Edition El Mariachi, now here is the production version that could be in your quiver by the end of the month. Salsa has released pictures of the new El Mariachi. A steel 29'er complete with matching fork and eccentric bottom bracket shell. The 29'er market is here to stay and there is no better material for making the big wheel frames than steel.
 | | click to enlarge | Just like the Limited Edition (LE) El Mariachi the production frame is made from True Temper OX Platinum tubing and is complemented by a custom painted Salsa CroMoto fork. Unlike the LE version, the production version will have a derailleur hanger and vertical dropouts. Not only will you be able to run gears on the bike but going single-speed is an easy transition with the use of the Eccentric Bottom Bracket shell to tension the chain.
Salsa's first 29'er hardtail, the frame uses a sloping top tube to allow for more standover height wich can be a problem with 29'er frames. The geometry is spot on and the frame is available in Small, Medium, Large, and X-Large. The frame features standard rear dropouts and an eccentric bottom bracket shell. The Eccentric allows you to tension the chain for single-speed use and adjust your bottom bracket height slightly for different riding conditions. The frame and fork both have enough clearance to run 29 x 2.4" tires, and are designed for disc brake use only.
One of the most exciting frame introductions of the season is available in two outstanding colors, Superior Blue or Tomatilla Green. A perfect match of material, design and function. Simple yet elegant. Ride and Smile!
Want to get your hands on one... Bikeman will have the Production El Mariachi's on the site in the next week for order. We still have a couple of Limited Edition El Mariachis available if anyone is interested give us a call!
