Short post to check in to let you know that this race season has not left me curled up on the floor, crying like a baby to make it stop. In fact I'm getting ready and gearing up get it going again!
Had a good week of recovery riding following the MASS 6 Hour Race. Still got about 9 hours in, but at lower intensity. The week gave me a chance to enjoy some riding, some fine brews (without the guilt!) and focus on the 3rd part of my race season.
I'm forgoing the Wilderness 101 this year to make the 3rd and final MASS 6 Hour race in August a priority. I just don't think I could do a 100 miler followed by a 6 hour the very next week. A couple weeks after that I might do an 18 hour race in Virginia to get some night riding in and see some friends. And then end the summer with a Solo at 24 Hour Champion Challenge here in PA. 48 hours of racing in 5 weeks? Hmmm might need to rethink this. OR order up some more chamois cream!
I've been enjoying my time on the bike the past week and even took the digi cam along with me. Nothing like stopping to take a few picts to force you to take it a little easier. Since this post is really pretty lame I've included some of the picts to spice it up.
Time to start building fitness again for the coming race and order that chamois cream.
Take care and get some miles in!
Thanks
Jason
