La Pierre X-Lite Cyclocross Frame
La Pierre X-Lite Cyclocross Frame
Tis' the cross season and Bikeman is working hard to supply you with the best in cyclocross gear.  The lastest is the swank, new La Pierre X-Lite cyclocross frame.  This is the same frame raced by Francis Mourey of the Francaise des Jeux team.  He rode it to a fourth place finish at the cyclocross world championships last year.  He has also one of about 3 guys in the world that come close to giving Sven Nys a run for his money.  He actually out sprinted Nys to win round 4 of the cyclocross world cup in Trevisio, Italy on November 4th.  He just finished 2nd to Nys this past weekend in round 5 of the world cup in Pijnacker, Netherlands.

This butted Scandium frame is built for racing.  There are no disc brake mounts or even water bottle mounts.  This bike has one purpose, get you to the finish line first.  The bottom bracket junction is very unique and the single ring crowd (like myself) will be pleased.  They use a CNC machined chainstay yoke, which is much thinner than a tube and allows for a single ring with double guards and a standard width bottom bracket.  Mmmmm, good chainline.  The X-Lite comes in one color, Francaise des Juex team blue.  Hey, with all the success Francis has had on his there is no shame in rocking that paint job.
