Matt’s sport class got off to a fast start through the beginning ½ mile of flat land before being stretched out with a 3 mile climb that gets you up close and personal with the clouds. Matt chugged along absorbing the seeming to be thousands of wee pee dos on his new Salsa Hard tail. He raced along to a 10th place finish.
I was out fast, well fast for me and by the first climb was on the verge of cramping. After some fun downhill my legs came back to me in time for the next bit of climbing only to have cramped in the last 3 miles of the race. I finished in a disappointing 14th, but did go under my last year’s time.
Great race And a killer vibe down @ the Sagebrush Safari look forward to next years 17 or 19 miles of it.
