The weather went downhill very fast - temp dropped to freezing, rain to sleet/hail to snow. Folks started dropping out after the 1st lap. It was a mess, but mostly ridable because there are no significant hills on the course. The hardest part was remembering to check my speed as my brakes were wearing fast. Good thing Avid's BB7's are easy to adjust. My disc brake pads went from new to gone (literally) by the end of my 6th lap at 3:50. Called it quits at that point. Good thing too as I was told by the timing staff that I was turning purple. Headed straight to the vehicle, stripped, cranked heat and got into a sleeping bag to warm up. Can't remember ever being so cold. Five brand-name guys ahead of me did seven laps, the other 20 or so did 5 or less. Results and a map of the course are posted on Team Bulldog's (New Jersey) website.
