Maine Fat Bike Series #1 - Twin Brook

Signed up for the Maine Fat Bike Race Series (long course) after buying my first fat bike this winter. First one down, Twin Brook, 5 more to go! Started off at 8 degrees. About a five mile lap. We were suppose to do 4 laps but one of the people scoping out the course pre race got legit frost bite on their nose and they cut it down to 3 laps. Snow was good until an open field half way through where there was a lot of on and off the bike through some deep stuff. Trails were well marked and support staff was great cheering us on. Walked away with an unexpected 1st place female finish and didn't lose any appendages to the elements. Win. Win.
