RACING DISCIPLINE(S) AND CATEGORY(S): Cat 1 (Expert) Mountain Bike, Cat 3 Cyclocross; Also quite fond of Singlespeed categories in both MTB & CX
# OF YEARS RACING: 11 years plus a few in the mid-90's
# OF BIKES OWNED: A whole fleet of Konas including a full quiver of Kona Jakes (Super, Major & SS Private), Honzo hardtail, Hei-Hei DL MTB, Wozo fatbike, plus a vintage Dean road bike.
FAVORITE BIKE(S): A steel Kona Honzo singlespeed MTB and Private Jake singlespeed CX.
FAVORITE TRAIL OR RIDE: Give me some good old rock, rooty, New England-style single track and I'm happy.
NON-CYCLING INTERESTS/HOBBIES: Snowboarding, snowshoeing, ice and rock climbing, hiking. My wife & I are nearly finished converting a cargo van and plan to do some extended traveling throughout the country.
PERSONAL NOTES & QUOTES: Any day that I can get on the bike or do anything active is a good day. Big bonus is when I can get the whole family involved.
