They've taken the existing WORD and Fhub designs and added disk mount platforms for the Hayes and Shimano systems (which are the same, and now pretty much the standard mount). To handle the increased tourque loads a disk places on the shell, They have increased the thickness of the flanges and the shell portion between the flanges. The Disk Word still builds a super strong dishless wheel with a standard symmetrical rim. For the Disk Fhub use an asymmetrical style rim to get full dishlessness. 308g
