You will find the stock status messages and shipping restrictions below on product pages. Please read these carefully as it will allow you to estimate your shipping and arrival times. We do not automatically partial-ship orders, so the delivery time of your order is determined by the item on your order with the longest lead time. If your order is time-sensitive we encourage you to contact us for up-to-the-minute product availability and ship times to verify that we can accommodate your needs. Upon request, we may be able to short ship some items at your expense.
With few exceptions, we fully assemble and adjust complete bikes before shipping. Bikes are then partially disassembled and repacked in the original shipping box with all the original packaging. We may be required to lightly test ride bicycles before shipment in order to ensure proper adjustment, therefore you may see some dust or dirt on the tires. Upon receipt of the bike you must be capable of installing the wheels, seat post and stem/handlebar before riding. Be aware of any manufacturer’s warranty with regard to final assembly and adjustment; sometimes the manufacturer will require that the final assembly is performed by an authorized dealer in order to keep the warranty intact. Complete bikes can on occasion take an additional 2-5 business days for our assembly process before shipping.
Please note that the processing times listed below are not the time in transit to you. Processing time is the time it takes your order to leave our shipping department. The transit time for the shipping method you choose at checkout begins after this processing time. Due the rapid changes in inventory we are occasionally unable to ship items within these processing times. If this is the case Bikeman will contact you via e-mail. You can also check the status of your order 24/7 using our Order Status Manager. If your order is time-sensitive we encourage you to to contact us for up to the minute product availability and ship times to verify that we can accommodate your needs.
Stock Status: "Usually Ships in 2-3 Days"
In order to offer the most complete product selection and have the best prices on the web, Bikeman uses a "revolving" or "just-in-time" inventory. While we keep most frequently ordered items in stock, we do not physically stock all 60,000+ SKU’s on our online store here at Bikeman Headquarters. We have the ability, however, to get products here rapidly and ship them out to you. Many of the items in Bikeman’s On-Line Store are available for shipment within 2 business days for orders placed before 3pm EST, Monday through Friday or within 3 business days for orders placed after 3pm EST, Monday through Friday.
Stock Status: "Usually Ships in 5-7 Days"
In order to offer some of the most unique and popular cycling items available we occasionally have to use secondary distributors or even go direct to the manufacturer. As a result, these items are not always available to ship within our normal shipping time frames. We can, however, typically have these items available to ship within 5-7 business days after receipt of your order.
Stock Status: "Currently Out of Stock"
This means that the item is out of stock and not orderable. The item is either brand new and has not become available yet, is temporarily out of stock at both Bikeman Headquarters and our suppliers, or has been discontinued and is scheduled for removal from the site. Contact us for an expected availability date. You can also choose to receive an email when an out of stock item comes in stock by entering your email address in the box and clicking on the "Product Watch" button on the product page.
Shipping Restriction: "Available In Store Only"
Some manufacturers prohibit the sale of their products on the internet. These products are available for pick up in our retail store only. You may add these products to your cart and checkout by selecting "In Store Pick-Up" as the shipping method. You can then contact us to arrange pick up. These products are still subject to our "revolving" or "just-in-time" inventory so they may not be available for immediate pick up. Refer to the stock status for processing time. If your order is time-sensitive we encourage you to contact us for up-to-the-minute product availability to verify that we can accommodate your needs.
Shipping Restriction: "Ground Shipping Only"
Products deemed hazardous by carriers are prohibited from being shipped via any method that may travel by air, and are designated with a shipping restriction "Ground Shipping Only". If any of these items are in your basket then your only shipping option will be Ground. If we don’t offer Ground to your destination there will be no shipping method available. Remove any "Ground Shipping Only" products from your cart to view available shipping methods to your destination.
For domestic shipments, Bikeman offers 'Ground', '3 Day', '2 Day' and 'Next Day' shipping options. Bikeman reserves the right to utilize those services from UPS or FedEx. Estimated shipping times are based on business days (Monday through Friday, excluding national holidays). If your order is scheduled to ship on a Friday with a time in transit of 5 days it should arrive Friday the following week. Holidays also do not count as business days. You will receive an email with a tracking number after your order ships to track the progress of your shipment.
For 'Free Shipping' or 'Standard Shipping' (Flat Rate), Bikeman reserves the right to utilize any service from UPS, FedEx or USPS to get it to you the quickest for the least amount of cost.
Bikeman also offers USPS shipping via Ground Advantage or Priority Mail domestically as an economical shipping option if your order is not time sensitive. USPS shipments have no guaranteed shipping time-table. Ground Advantage shipments can take 7-14 business days or more to arrive after leaving Bikeman.com, Priority Mail may arrive in 2-3 days but these times in transit are NOT guaranteed.
PLEASE NOTE that estimated delivery times are for reference ONLY. We have had instances where shipments have taken much longer than the USPS indicates on their website. We make no assertion nor take any responsibility on the delivery time via USPS. We are released of any liability, including but not limited to arrival time, once we deliver your package to the USPS.
All items purchased from Bikeman.com and shipped USPS are made pursuant to a shipment contract. This means the risk of loss and title for such items pass to you upon our delivery to the USPS. Bikeman.com is not responsible or liable for any damage or loss arising from shipment via USPS. Only choose USPS for your shipping method if you are willing to accept this risk of loss.
