Review: I am reviewing the 26 inch Maxxis CrossMark in the 2.10 “eXCeption” version as a rear tire. I chose a Maxxis Ignitor in the same width and tread compound for the front. The CrossMark has been used on a 4.5 inch dual suspension bike used for racing and riding technical New England trails. In general, New England trails are known for their roots, small rocks, big rocks, moisture and on occasion, mud. The search for a good tire that excels on all of these trail “features” seems as difficult as the search for the perfect politician. |

Review: Cycling is a great sport, you get to enjoy a view of the world that many others do not. There is nothing like riding along the coast of the Atlantic as the sun set off in the distance you catch a glimpse of the waves slowly ebbing along the shore as you silently curse down the road at thirty miles per hour. It’s a great thing to be a cyclist. But that’s not what's going on in the bitter depths of winter here in New England. |

Title: The best singlespeed tensioner ever! Reviewer: Matt Viara (ME) Bikeman Product Code: CH2600 First things first, yes I know it's expensive. Now that we have that behind us let me extoll the virtues of this fine piece of equipment. There are two things that make this the best tensioner ever (in my humble opinion). The first isn't exclusive to this particular tensioner but it is key none the less. The fine people at Soulcraft decided not to use spring tension to keep your chain taught, they designed it so you can just set the tension by hand and then crank down the fixing bolt to hold it in place.
