On Monday the Hebron Ski Team left for Class B New England's at Mt. Snow Vermont. We left school Monday morning and headed to Shawnee Peak for a day of training. We trained Slalom and GS and then spent a couple hours preparing our skis for Tuesday's big race. We got back on the bus for the five and a half hour ride. Once we got to Mt. Snow we went straight to bed for a 6:30 wake-up call.

Tuesday was a lot of hurry up and wait. The lift was supposed to open at 8:15 so we could inspect the course however it didn't open until 9. The guys went to the GS course while the girls went down to the Slalom course.  In the afternoon the races were reversed. The field was about 60 guys and 50 girls. I finished 10th in GS and in the afternoon I finished about 12th in Slalom. The big story was our team finish. Hebron Men finished 3rd overall while the Women finished at an impressive 2nd.

Our league championship was a week before New England's. I finished first in GS and about 9th in Slalom. Our team finished 2nd, although I think we could've won if our third guy had stayed on his feet.

I am excited to be finished with skiing, Its time to think about biking full time now. I am biking five days a week now, taking Monday and Friday off. Weekends are focused on building base still while the week is filled with cardio workouts.
