Rim Nordic Fall Classic Rim Nordic Ski Area Running Springs, CA October 21, 2007
 | | click to enlarge | My decision was a diffiult one. Three and a half hours to the north, "Springville Fat Tire Fest" or "Dam Cross" at Hanson Dam, truly close enough I could ride to the event and gain "green points" for the most earth friendly cross rider. Well, not a single person in the southland could sleep with this decision and the fact that Halloween is just around the corner and that signals the "Devil Winds."

I managed a second place position into the first climb. | | click to enlarge | I was pasted by one and 3/4 of the way thru the deadly tandem team over-took me, 1/3 of the way into the second lap the junior girl got the best of me and before I knew it the sunday ride was over. As the only 55+ rider in the field the memory is mine to keep.
