October 7, at Veteran's Park in Sylmar found a much larger city park so the course could stretch out. I actual passed a couple of slow pokes.

October 14 in a baseball park in Palos Verde I finally hit my stride. The course worked up a canyon had a water crossing and a sizeable downhill. But I barely worked thru a quarter of the group.

October 20 at Hansen Dam offered a well spaced course with a couple of run-up's and a 1/2 mile paved drag strip. I could not break the top 50%. And so it goes for the cross season.

Thankfully, I've planned a few very important trips to take me away from all this fun on the grass. I hope to return in time for the tail end of the cross season. Until that time, my mind is not made up, but I'm leaning heavily in favor of building a cruizer bike for safer riding.
