If you Salsa loving folks, the bike not the tasty food, have visted the Salsa Cycles website in the last day or so you would have come across Jason's posting on the Salsa Sol Sessions. The guys at Salsa have been working on some hot new projects for awhile now and have been keeping it super hush hush. I have pried (gently) but have gotten nothing. Well, like a fine wine it must be time because they are getting ready to spill the goods.
It must be something really good becuase they are spilling all the beans with a big product launch the evening of Monday, June 16th. That whole week they are hosting something they are calling the Salsa Sol Sessions, a little play on words it being the week of the summer solstice and all. All they are letting go so far is that they will be launching 2, count 'em, 2 new bikes.
I happen to be a Salsa geek so as if it isn't cool enough that some sweet new product is coming down the pike I have been invited to the Sol Sessions. I will be there for the launch and whatever fun and hilarity ensues for the rest of the week. Salsa is keeping a big stick handy to make sure mum is the word on the detais of the week until the launch. So you won't get any more details out of me until after the launch. Truth is I really don't have any more details. I know I am going to be at the launch when the big red silk sheet is pulled off these babies. Exactly what happens after that is shrouded in a bit of mistery. I am not usually a guy that likes suprises but part of the appeal of the Sol Sessions is knowing just enough that you want to be part of finding out what you don't know.
As soon as I have info (and hopefully pictures) I will get them back to Bikeman headquarters to be posted here. Not sure if I will be blinfolded and driven away in a panel van or not but if I can get info out you will have it. I will be posting a full report of my experience upon my safe return.
