SoCal Cross Prestige Series #4 & #5
Kross-tober-fest
Frank Bonelli Regional Park
San Dimas, CA

October 10th & 11th, 2009

ImageSouthern California Prestige Series of Cyclocross, "Kross-tober-fest". Somehow a change in the schedule allowed back-to-back race days at Frank Bonelli Regional Park in San Dimas, CA. UCI Rules on Saturday and ABR on Sunday. A couple of minor course changes and my weekend was complete. ImageThe first race on a reconditioned Redline single speed allows me more warm-up than necessary but really hammer down the lines. Bike change to the Salsa Chili con Crosso with all those gears puts me into a warm, fuzzy glow world. We raced on the north side of the park. The course had everything: pavement, dirt, grass, run-up's, barriers, off-camber turns, everything that is except what most of America comes to race on: MUD. Nope, sorry this is Southern California.
