2007 RACING AGE: I am in one of those years where the only thing I have to look forward to is when I turn 25- which is when I can rent a car and car insurance goes down. (23)
RESIDENCE: In the wonderful dorm of Dickey Wood (yes that's the real name I did not make it up) at USM in Gorham, ME and at the folk's house in Winthrop, ME.
WHERE I GO MONDAY MORNING: Straight to the dining hall, then off to class to learn something new.
RACING DISCIPLINE(S) AND CATEGORY(S): Pro Elite MTB, Elite Cyclo-cross, A Collegiate and what I am most proud of cat 5 on the road!
# OF YEARS RACING: 7 or 8
# OF BIKES OWNED: I’ve owned a lot of bikes but I currently have Salsa El Santo, Salsa Campeon, Salsa Moto Rapido, Giant TCX, and GT Timberline.
FAVORITE BIKE: The Salsa’s, you can’t beat the way they ride.
FAVORITE TRAIL OR RIDE: Races that I love: Snow Bowl when it's muddy, Bradbury Mountain, Mount Snow and Sugarloaf. I love riding on back roads that have little to no traffic and actually are paved with no pot holes. Roads like that however are hard to come across in Maine.
NON-CYCLING INTERESTS/HOBBIES: skiing down hills and up hills, camping, hiking, you know the whole outdoors gig, college gyms, eating good quality food, making really random food combinations in the dorm and being a college student.
PERSONAL NOTES & QUOTES: “To give anything less then your best is to sacrifice the gift” Pre.
After attending the world championships in 2006 I realized all I want to do after college is ride my bike. If the bike gig doesn’t work out, then I am in a rut and I don’t know what to do. I love to ride my bike! I would like to thank all of my sponsors in helping me out: Bikeman.com, Salsa Cycles, Lazer Helmets, Panaracer Tires, Oakley eyewear and clothing, Cyr Bus Lines, SRAM components, Greyhound Juice, Time pedals and Slick Willy Lube. The most important thing in racing is to have fun.
