RACING DISCIPLINE(S) AND CATEGORY(S): Sport Mountain Bike and Cat 5 Road.
# OF YEARS RACING: This will be my fifth.
# OF BIKES OWNED: 3 - Salsa Dos Niner, Trek 5000 and a Specialized Stumpjumper hard tail.
FAVORITE BIKE: It has to be the Salsa Dos Niner.
FAVORITE TRAIL OR RIDE: Muller Park in Bountiful, UT.
NON-CYCLING INTERESTS/HOBBIES: University of Utah Football, grand kids (I have four now and one on the way), soft music and a stiff drink.
PERSONAL NOTES & QUOTES: As a young man I rode from Salt Lake City to Yellowstone National Park with 2 buddies. No sag wagon just 10 days, $100 and anything we could carry on our bike racks. I then spent 20 years raising kids and getting fat. Five years ago I found an old bike and started to ride to shed a few pounds. Some of my buddies at work (the Bikeman Team Utah Chapter now) started doing the same thing at about the same time. Troy Nye stumbled across some race information on the internet and the idea scared the hell out of me but I could not stop thinking about it. I tried the Frozen Hog Race in 2003 and was hooked.
