Watch your head!
You might run into that 1955 Elgin Bluebird hanging from the rafters. Yes, it's true. The boss never throws anything away. It just magically vanishes from the shop and ends up here. If you've given up hope of finding that low gear pawl for a Hercules three speed, drop Davis an email davis@bikeman.com. If we can't find it for you, well, uh, we can't find it for you.

Bikeman's Museum

Do you remember slapping a Fat City bandage over some rock rash or how about hearing a Tioga Disc Drive rolling down the trail. Bikeman still has found memories of the years and parts gone by. In the museum you will find collectibles, components, memorabilia and maybe somethings you totally forgot about. So tighten down those toe straps and come on in.

WTB Dirt Drops, Bridegestone Refinish:
This week marks the arrival of the WTB Mountain Drop bar.  In the style of the ole' Dirt Drops the new WTB bar is tough enough for the trail and sleek enough for your road or cyclocross bike.  Also this week we have images of a restored Bridgestone XO-1 frame and fork.  An absolute work of art that you won't want to miss.

ATTIC FINDS:
WTB MTB Drops
WTB MTB Drops
This weeks find is more of an arrival as the new WTB Mountain Drop Bars are finally in stock.  We have been awaiting the arrival of these bar for the past 6 months.  I think I may have even mocked the early product introduction / lack of availability in our latest Dirty 30 ad appearing in Dirt Rag soon.  Anyhow, we finally have them in stock.  Like its ancestor, the WTB Dirt Drop, the new bar features a classic bend with 3-degrees of flare.  In keeping with the times WTB went for a 31.8mm clamp.  This widens the range of stems available and also offers more cross over to the cyclocross and road market.  We will have a product test soon.  If you want one, put in an order soon as we only have 20 coming our way and they will go fast.

CUSTOMER BIKES:

About a month ago a customer brought in an old Bridgestone XO-1 frameset.  Cosmetically the frame was in rough shape with all the scratches and scuffs you would expect on a used frame of this vintage.  Structurally the frame was excellent and perfect for a restoration.  So the paperwork was filled out and the frame was packed up and shipped to New Paltz, NY...  home of Vicious Cycles.  Today the big brown truck left a box behind with a work of art inside.  Vicious Cycles does amazing paint work and the Bridgestone looks to nice to ride.  The decals where digitally recreated and are flawless match of the originals.  Total investment in the paint / decal work was $500, for a collector it is well worth the cost.  Check back soon for pics of the complete bike.  For more information on having Bikeman send your frame out for refinish, give us a call at 1-800-BIKEMAN
