American Classic Wheels to Feature Power TAP Hubs:
American Classic wheels are now available with CycleOps PowerTap SL hubs. American Classic expects the PowerTap hub will bring a new dimension to the line. “People want to race the PowerTap with light rims. There was a steady demand for American Classic wheels built with the PowerTap. We are happy to make this a reality for our customers by offering PowerTap wheels as part of our product line,” said Simon Kessler of American Classic.
“This is a custom option available on rear wheels with either 24- or 32-spoke hole drilling. Front wheels are available as well so that riders can have a matching wheelset,” added Kessler. Jesse Bartholomew, product manager for Saris, added, “American Classic is a perfect match for PowerTap since they offer the same quality and performance that we build into our own products. We are excited to have another world renowned wheel for PowerTap customers.”
A pair of American Classic sprint 350 road wheels built with the PowerTap SL starts at 1,490 grams. Bikeman will be offering the line of American Classic wheels on-line later this month. No word yet on when we will see the Power Tap wheels but we expect them around the Interbike Trade Show in September.
