 Herb's 2007 Redline Conquest Team:
 | | 2007 Redline Conquest Team | As one of the Team Bikeman.com members, I have been riding a Gucci Italian frame and thought that I should at least me riding something the shop sells. So for my 50th birthday...YES 50th!!.. my wife and 2 kids surprised me by purchasing a Redline Conquest Team frame with a Ritchey WCS full carbon fork. Upon removing it from the box, I realized that the pictures on the internet do not do it justice. This is a very nice looking frame! Did I mention this frame is also quite light? It is made using double butted Scandium Aluminum tubing.
Building of the bike: Most of the parts were transplanted from my other cross bike which included primarily a Campy Record/Chorus drivetrain. A few of the parts I did have to buy was a Ritchey WCS headset, (less money then a King, but still warrantied for life) and an English Threaded, non Italian bottom bracket. Over the next week I started building up the bike. I finally got it built and had only 4 days to work the cobwebs out before the next race, not usually a good idea. Upon taking it out for it's first ride and putting it through its paces, I realized this bike felt very familiar. I bike is very light, nimble and tracks very well. Basically I like this bike a lot! I would recommend to anyone looking to purchase a pro quality frame to seriously consider the Redline Conquest Team frame. For slightly under $800, this frame/fork combo is a great deal.
