Specially designed MDU (Microcellular Ductile Urethane) elastomers help absorb the vibration while riding on rough terrain to prevent excessive jarring to knees and ankles. The upward force of the dampening units also improves the contact between the foot and the pedal maximizing power output for each revolution in challenging terrains.
