Replacing the venerable Carver C38 Disc Brake Carbon Clincher Wheelset is the all new RXC. Wider, lighter and all around more better-er. The "R" in RXC stands for road but don't let that fool you, these wheels can do it all. If you can only have one set of carbon wheels these are the ones you want. You can run down to a 25mm tire and up to 110psi for full go on the road but they will also handle up to a 52mm tire if you want to get off the beaten path. Whatever that means to you is your choice, mount the tire that matches your adventure and go for it.
We stuck with Novatec hubs for their proven performance and value but switched to a Center Lock disc version for quicker rotor changes. Tried and true J-bend bladed black spokes with external black alloy nipples allow for easy maintenance in the field. 24 hole laced 2 cross front and rear.
The new rim drops a whopping 280g per set over its predecessor, that's over 1/2 pound in old money. 30m depth, 28mm external width, 21mm internal width, hooked bead and finished in matte UD. They are tubeless compatible and ship with tubeless tape, tubeless valves and even a couple spare spokes.
