If you own a 2016 Specialized thru axle bike like the Crux, Diverge, Roubaix or Ruby you may or may not have come to realize that you have something a little unique on your hands. Specialized developed the "SCS" (Short Chainstay System) design to optimize drivetrain performance with the shortest chainstays possible on disc road and cyclocross bikes. The good news is that you have nimble handling, ample heel clearance and a quick shifting, smooth running drivetrain. The bad news is that you have a rear axle standard that now virtually nobody supports, including Specialized. Enter Carver Bikes and the Special Edward SCS rear disc hub. We designed and built a SCS native hub to support all these orphaned bikes and customers. Now you can have your cake and eat it too. Preserve all the benefits of the SCS system and build exactly the wheelset you want. No special derailleur hangers, no modified cassettes and you can switch back and forth with your stock wheelset with no adjustment. We also offer replacement axles for this hub for ultimate versatility. We have 135mm QR which allows you to preserve stock chainline on QR SCS bikes or move the hub to a standard QR bike and 12x142mm TA which allows you to move the hub to a standard thru axle frame.
