Pats Peak Mountain Bike Festival, Henniker NH

We were curious about this event for a while, so we decided to make it this year to Henniker, NH. Our Saturday started with a 3 hour trip to New Hampshire and beautiful weather. There are 3 different events under this festival; Downhill, XC, and Endurance 6, 12, 24 hours. We decided to race the duo coed team 6 hour event.
The 7.1 mile course turned out to be a really fun one, with lots of technical single track and very little double track. The single track consisted of rocky switchback climbs and descents. There was a good amount of climbing involved with about 860 feet per lap. We were really lucky that the conditions were dry since it would be really challenging otherwise.
We decided to race single laps, taking turns with each lap, refueling in between laps. We completed 8 laps, 4 laps each, earning us 2nd place in about 6 hours, 45 min. It was a great day for a day trip and a fun endurance event in sunny NH!
