SoCaCross Prestige Series - Krosstoberfest

SoCaCross Prestige Series opener. Close to home with plenty of sunshine. The regional park located just over the hill from me is a reminder of the Santa Susana Mountain Range that is a backdrop to my life. We've raced here a handful of times. The long dusty straights, turns weaving thru the the Oak Forest, thick in mulch. The drop into the abandoned concrete walled stream and pond section, leading back towards the start on a rock strewn fast trail. A few punchy climbs, set of barriers, over abandoned concrete foundations from it's past relevance and to the start. This year had more sand and deeper sand. A benefit of our first rainy winter in nearly a decade. Team Bikeman Jersey was traveling in a small but elite group of racers. Age has it's benefits. A spot on the podium is one.
